After a month of fixed leaks and teasers, Oppo’s Ace2 is lastly official. It retains the 90Hz refresh rate display screen and 65W wired charging of its predecessor the Reno Ace however brings the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset, 5G connectivity and the quickest wi-fi charging round at 40W due to the model new AirVOOC charger.
OPPO is ready to introduce an additional Ace phone model , officially named OPPO Ace2 . Prior to the official launch, OPPO shared the AnTuTu benchmark score that OPPO Ace2 achieved.
OPPO recently confirmed that OPPO Ace2 will feature a punched screen, support for 90 Hz refresh rate and 180 Hz touch sampling rate. The screen of OPPO Ace2 provides 96.3% of DCI-P3 color space, maximum brightness of 819 nits and deltaE value of 3, Ace2’s screen promises to bring users excellent color accuracy.
Data from TENAA confirms OPPO Ace2 has a 6.5-inch screen with Full HD + resolution, the fingerprint sensor will be embedded in the screen. Inside, Ace2 uses Snapdragon 865 chip, 12 GB RAM and 256 GB ROM. The device runs on a customized ColorOS 7 interface based on Android 10.
OPPO Ace2 owns 4 rear cameras, main sensor resolution is 48 MP, selfie camera has a resolution of 16 MP. Ace2 is equipped with 4,000 mAh battery, 65 W fast charging and 40 W. wireless fast charging.
The 4,000mAh battery supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast wired charging which is plenty fast but what’s more impressive is the 40W AirVOOC wireless charger which Oppo claims can complete a full charge cycle in only 56 minutes. The actual charging pad has its own spinning fan to keep thermals in check and will be sold separately for CNY 249 ($35).
The Oppo Ace2 will come in purple, grey and silver colors with a starting price of CNY 3,999 ($565) for the 8/128GB model. There’s also an 8/256GB variant for CNY 4,399 ($625) and a top of the line 12/256GB trim for CNY4,599($650). Pre-orders are already underway while official sales start on April 20. International availability details aren’t confirmed yet.
