Xiaomi is prepping to launch its latest mid-range offering, the Mi Note 10, in India soon. We has learned from sources that the brand is working out a timeline to launch the first non-Android One Mi series smartphone since 2017 in the country to take on the likes of Realme X2 Pro, OnePlus 7 series, and other handsets in the segment. To recall, the Mi Note 10 recently launched as the global version of the Mi CC9 Pro smartphone in Spain as the world’s first smartphone with 108MP penta-camera setup at the back. There is a ‘Pro’ model of Mi Note 10 as well, which rocks 8GB RAM and 256GB storage; however, the source did not mentioned whether the brand plans to launch it in India too.
The source says the Xiaomi top brass is still mulling over the Mi Note 10 India launch timeline. It was earlier slated to launch in India in December along with the Mi MIX Alpha, but that plan has been shelved. While the Mi MIX Alpha will obviously be available in limited quantities to show off the company’s all-display concept phone. On the other hand, Mi Note 10 will be more of a mainstream device that is aimed to compete with handsets by brands such as Realme, OnePlus, Vivo, OPPO, etc.
Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain is currently in China and in a tweet asked fans what they want the brand to launch in 2020. He has also teased that the brand will launch a phone with 100W fast-charging tech next year in India.
